FINISH® QUANTUM®
For Brilliant Results
Getting great results from your dishwasher is easy if you follow a few guidelines. To get the best results from your dishwasher consider the following:

WATER TEMPERATURE
For sparkling clean dishes your dishwasher needs hot water – 60ºC. Water at this temperature not only helps dissolve food stains, it actually will disinfect your dishes. Check the water temperature in your house using a glass of hot water from your kitchen sink and a meat thermometer. If your water is less than 60ºC, consult your hot water heater's user manual or a service professional to adjust its settings.

BEFORE YOU LOAD THE DISHWASHER
Today's dishwashers need very little pre-washing to produce sparkling results, but they do have limitations. Before you place anything in the dishwasher, remove large food particles such as bones, seeds, and toothpicks. Tough baked on food stains may be pre-soaked in warm water with a small amount of detergent until stains are loosened.

PROPER LOADING
Following your manufacturer's loading directions can greatly improve the performance of your dishwasher. Properly spacing your dishes and not blocking the sprayer arms are two good examples of general rules to follow. See Loading Your Dishwasher for more helpful tips.

USE FINISH® AUTOMATIC DISHWASHING DETERGENT
For over 50 years, FINISH® Automatic Dishwasher Detergent has been developing innovative products to ensure that you always enjoy sparkling clean dishes - it’s what we call the Diamond Standard. Today, more than ever, FINISH® offers convenient new solutions that take the worry out of dishwashing. Whatever type of detergent your busy lifestyle demands – FINISH® has a solution. See FINISH® Solutions to discover which solution is right for you.

PREVENTING WATER SPOTS
Water droplets which may contain residues can leave spots on your dishes, silverware and most noticeably your glasses during the drying cycle. Using FINISH® JET-DRY® Rinse Agent stops these water droplets from depositing on your dishes, flatware and glasses, leaving them spot and film free and sparkling clean.
You should check the level of rinse agent in the dispenser every month. If you start to see spotting and filming on your glasses, you may need to fill up with FINISH® JET-DRY® Rinse Agent. If your dishwasher does not have a rinse agent dispenser, use FINISH® JET-DRY® solid rinse agent, which comes packaged in a convenient basket that can be hung from your dishwasher's upper rack.

AVOIDING WET DISHES WHEN THE CYCLE IS DONE
Sometimes dishes will come out of the dishwasher wet, particularly plastic items, and you'll need to towel-dry them. This can happen even if you use the drying cycle. To ensure your dishes come out of the dishwasher dry and ready to be put away - even your plastic items, be sure to use FINISH® JET-DRY® Turbo Dry™.
