Can you put knives in the dishwasher?
When it comes to putting knives in the dishwasher, it depends on what kind of knife it is. How to sharpen your knives
There are two methods best known for sharpening knives – honing and sharpening:
Honing – this is for keeping sharp knives sharp. It evens out imperfections in the blade by correcting the edge. For this, you simply need a honing steel of some kind and the action can be carried out at home. Though it isn’t technically done to sharpen the knife, it will make your knife stay sharp and work better.
Sharpening – This is the action of making a dull blade sharp again. There are many knife sharpening tools out there in order to do this at home. Often however, many people will get this carried out by a professional.
