Dishwasher Cleaner

Find out more about cleaning your dishwasher with Finish® including which products will help keep your machine sparkling clean.
Is your dishwasher not cleaning as well as it should? The chances are it isn’t broken – it just needs its monthly clean. Cleaning your machine regularly not only helps extend its life, it also makes sure you have sparkling clean glasses and dishes – every time.
To clean your dishwasher effectively, you’ll need to use a good dishwasher cleaner. Use our Finish® Dishwasher Cleaner to get a deep clean, remove grease and limescale from inside your dishwasher including the hidden inner parts of your machine, and leave it hygienically clean and smelling fresh.
To clean the inside of your dishwasher, follow these simple steps using Finish® Dishwasher Cleaner:
While you can use Finish® Dishwasher Cleaner to help prevent hard water and limescale from building up inside your dishwasher, you can also use Finish® Rinse Aid to remove hardwater spots from your dishes, glasses and cutlery.
While our dishwashing cleaner covers everything inside your dishwasher, you’ll want to clean the outside too. After all, that’s the part everyone sees! Clean the door and any buttons with a cloth and some hot soapy water, then rinse with clean warm water and wipe with a dry cloth for a dishwasher that looks as good on the outside as it does inside!
Cleaning your dishwasher regularly removes waste, grease and limescale build-up that could cause unpleasant odors or even block your machine. This includes cleaning the parts you can easily see, like the interior walls and door, baskets, and sprayer arm – and the hidden, but vital parts of your dishwasher, like the filter and drain hoses.
For regular dishwasher use, we recommend cleaning the inside of your dishwasher once per month with our Finish® Dishwasher Cleaner. For heavy dishwasher use, you should wash your dishwasher more frequently.
You’ll also want to wash the inside of your dishwasher right away if you notice:
To prevent your dishwasher from clogging, always scrape off large bits of food before loading your dishwasher. (This also wastes less water than rinsing off your plates!)
